Teresa Chan
Director
Teresa Chan has a true passion for children. She has devoted most of her career life to working with children and their families. After college, Teresa taught English and Art & Design for 6 years at a Catholic high school in Hong Kong. She moved to California in 1987 and worked for Edgewood Center for Children and Families in San Francisco as administrative director for almost 13 years. Before joining Redeemer in 2004, Teresa was a program director at a school-based program serving children ages 2 to 12 in Marin and Sonoma counties. Teresa holds a degree in education and a teaching credential from Hong Kong. She also earned a degree in business administration in the U.S. Teresa is now a credentialed administrator for early childhood programs with extensive training in program administration and curriculum development. Teresa is a member of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the treasurer of Marin Association for the Education of Young Children. She is also a leading member of the Preschool Administrators Leadership Group established by Marin County Office of Education, and a certified Director Mentor by College of Marin.
